Project Patriot:  The DAR Project Patriot Committee is the official Daughters of the                                                           American Revolution committee that supports America’s service personnel in current conflicts abroad. At the national level DAR support is focused on two groups, women serving in the military and the wounded military personnel at three locations:
  • - The Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany
  • - Wounded Transition Brigade in Bethesda, Bethesda, Maryland
  • - Wounded Warrior and Family Support Center in San Antonio, Texas
In addition, phone cards are provided to chaplains in  Afghanistan and at Camp Atterbury,    Indiana, a 1A Mobilization Training Center for deploying troops.
Locally, our chapter  members support the men and women serving in conflicts abroad in any way appropriate.  Activities could range from adopting a platoon and/or sending care packages to an
individual
service member stationed overseas.

Kennewick Chapter DAR reached out to the community from 2015-2017 to provide
recognition and appreciation to our local Vietnam War Veterans for their service, sacrifice and valor. We also honored the families of the veterans and POW/MIA's. We are so proud to have
honored over 300 local veterans at our  Vietnam veteran appreciation ceremonies on August 15, 2015,  May 21,  2016 and May 6, 2017. We also presented Certificates to Vietnam War Veterans at the Travelling Vietnam Wall at City View Cemetery in Pasco over Memorial Day Weekend 2017. We are now visiting veterans service groups whose members are        veterans of the Vietnam War, who served between November 1955~ May 1975. To request a                                 Certificate presentation for your group, please send your name and contact  information to                                                                              our Chairwoman at  kennewickdar50th@gmail.com
