Welcome from the Kennewick Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution!
It is truly my honor to currently serve Kennewick Chapter as their regent. Being a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution is a rewarding choice of service to your community. Many believe the DAR is simply a genealogical society, but nothing could be further from the truth. While it is true many women join for this reason, it soon becomes apparent the objectives of the society are much greater than this. We actively represent the DAR in our community through an on-going public relations effort fueled with the enthusiasm of a chapter working together. We strive to make the public aware of the DAR’s commitment to community service to others, from historic preservation to patriotism, through support for our troops and veterans, to educating the youth of tomorrow. This is why our members are so important and why our new members soon realize we are a “working chapter.” Our forefathers fought to secure the blessings of liberty for themselves and their children. The blood of that patriotic spirit lives in each of us and it is often the driving factor in the success of a chapter. This is why we work so hard to help each prospective member in their efforts to become a DAR member.
Please ask yourself these two questions:
Why do I want to join DAR?
What does DAR mean to me?
These important questions will help indicate your level of interest in joining our society. Should you wish to start the process of attaining membership, please contact our Membership Chair.
I encourage you to think about joining the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Membership is truly rewarding!
With kindest regards,
Karen Schultz, Regent
